With more postal strikes in the UK a real threat recently Play.com has assured games who pre-order the game before Sunday 8th will receive the game tuesday morning due to them choosing a courier over Royal Mail. (More info)

Play.com also announced today that at peak points they were revieving 150 pre-orders for the game per minute and are expecting the game to surpass giants like GTA IV and The Dark Knight in sales charts.

On a smilar note, American game retailer GameStop has sad to the Independent:
"(We have) more pre-orders on this game than all of the games that were sold system-wide globally on the last Call of Duty (World at War) in its first month. This is clearly going to be the biggest entertainment release of our history."

The numbers for MW2 are amazing, The game hasen't even been released yet!

There has been lot of confusion recently due to Microsoft banning many players for playing MW2 before the release date (most of these gamers were using illegal copies however).

Anyways, Robert Bowling from InfinityWard has said on his Twitter
"ANY store selling #MW2 early is in violation of street date. There are no "special permissions". That said, we won't punish players for it."

So if you have the privileged of getting the game early you can now play online with no fears of being banned
